Kampala to Murchison Fall NP [Game Drive]:
Following breakfast, prepare your belongings and embark on your inaugural safari day in Uganda. Your journey will take you towards Murchison Falls National Park, with a delightful stopover at Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary, the exclusive home of black and white rhinos in Uganda. Renowned for its rich biodiversity, Kibale Forest National Park boasts the highest variety and density of primates in East Africa. Within its compact 560 square kilometers, you’ll encounter no fewer than 13 primate species, including Black-and-White Colobus Monkeys, Blue Monkeys, and Grey-cheeked Mangabeys. The park’s dense foliage is also home to over 1,000 chimpanzees, providing visitors with a rare opportunity to observe these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat. Kibale Forest is a sanctuary to a remarkable diversity of wildlife, boasting up to 13 primate species, including the renowned chimpanzee, and an impressive roster of over 370 bird species, making it an exceptional destination for nature enthusiasts and birdwatchers alike. During your trek, anticipate encountering numerous chimpanzees, as well as black-and-white colobus monkeys, red colobus monkeys, white-cheeked mangabeys, olive baboons, blue monkeys, and red-tailed monkeys, among others. Queen Elizabeth National Park mesmerizes visitors with its breathtaking and varied natural landscapes. From lush green savannah plains adorned with small acacia and euphorbia trees to sunken crater lakes and swamps, all against the backdrop of the snow-capped peaks of the Rwenzori Mountains, the park’s beauty is truly awe-inspiring. Home to an impressive array of wildlife, including Uganda Kobs, lions, elephants, and the mighty forest hog, the park also boasts a remarkable bird population of over 600 species, making it the continent’s birding hotspot.
Along the shores of the Kazinga Channel, a natural connection between Lake Edward and Lake George, you’ll encounter bustling herds of hippos and numerous crocodiles. For those seeking primate encounters, chimpanzee tracking is available in the picturesque Kyambura Gorge, while the famed tree-climbing lions can be spotted in the southern reaches of the park known as Ishasha.
Queen Elizabeth NP [Game Drive]:
Following an early breakfast, set out on a captivating early morning game drive along the Kasenyi track and the north Kazinga plains, immersing yourself in the thrill of tracking wildlife. Rest for the night in your designated accommodation, relishing a full-board meal plan.
For an authentic Uganda tour experience, Queen Elizabeth’s game drives promise memorable encounters with vast herds of elephants and buffalo, graceful antelopes, majestic lions, elusive small cats, impalas, and lively baboons, alongside a diverse array of bird species.
After the game drive, return to the lodge for a leisurely lunch. In the afternoon, delight in a scenic 2-hour launch cruise along the Kazinga Channel, offering opportunities to observe hippos, buffaloes, and elephants as they lounge along the shoreline in the warm sunlight. Queen Elizabeth NP to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest NP [Drive En-route]:

Bwindi National Park is a sanctuary to nearly half of the world’s mountain gorilla population, totaling over 800 individuals. It’s an unparalleled destination for up-close encounters with these majestic creatures. Thanks to dedicated wildlife conservation efforts, the gorilla population in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest has surged from 300 to 400 in recent years, with nine habituated families available for tourism experiences. Beyond the renowned gorillas, the dense forest is also home to nine other primate species.
Exploring the park’s various trails, such as the Munyanga River Trail and Waterfall Trail, leads you through pristine rainforest to discover three mesmerizing waterfalls, adding to the enchantment of your Bwindi adventure.
Bwindi Impenetrable Forest NP [Gorilla Tracking]:
Rise early today, anticipation mounting for the pinnacle of your safari: an unforgettable encounter with the Gentle Giants! After breakfast, journey to the national park offices where you’ll receive your gorilla family assignment in groups of 8, along with a knowledgeable gorilla tracking guide.
Following a comprehensive briefing by your guide covering gorilla behavior, your designated family, and safety measures, embark on an exhilarating adventure. Trekking through challenging terrain, including steep and muddy paths under the canopy of rain, may test your endurance, typically lasting between 2 to 8 hours. Yet, the sheer thrill of coming face to face with a majestic Mountain Gorilla silverback outweighs the exertion!
Remember to equip yourself with waterproof hiking boots and a lightweight raincoat for protection against the elements. Day 10: Bwindi Forest NP to Lake Munyonyi Island [En-route Drive]:

Enjoy leisurely activities such as swimming and a serene dugout canoe ride around its picturesque islands. Later, venture to the Batwa community for a cultural encounter with the pygmies, offering a glimpse into their unique way of life. Lake Munyonyi Island [Boating & Bird watching]:
Set off on an early morning adventure with a dugout boat ride to discover some of the 29 islands scattered across Lake Munyonyi. Lake Munyonyi to Lake Mburo NP [En-route Drive]
Following breakfast, we bid farewell to Bunyonyi and journey towards Lake Mburo National Park. Before entering the park, we’ll pause for a delightful lunch at a nearby restaurant. As we make our way into the park, a scenic game drive awaits, offering glimpses of wildlife amidst the stunning backdrop. Arriving at our accommodation, we’ll be treated to breathtaking views of the park. In the evening, seize the opportunity for a captivating night game drive.
Nestled in the western part of Uganda, Lake Mburo National Park may be the smallest in the country, but its beauty is unparalleled. The landscape is a mosaic of five lakes surrounded by forested hills, open savannah, acacia woodland, and tranquil papyrus swamps. Wildlife enthusiasts will delight in spotting unique species such as impalas, zebras, and the majestic elands, which are rarely found elsewhere in Uganda. With a birdwatcher’s paradise boasting around 315 species, Lake Mburo offers ample opportunities for avian encounters. In addition to traditional game drives, guided safari walks and boat rides on Lake Mburo can be arranged for a more immersive experience. As we venture into the park, a leisurely game drive awaits, allowing us to soak in the sights of wildlife amidst the picturesque landscape. Arriving at our accommodation, we’ll be treated to captivating views of the park. Later in the evening, you’ll have the opportunity to embark on an exciting night game drive.

Finally, we’ll conclude our journey by dropping you off at your reserved accommodation in Kampala.
