Safari Itinerary
Dar es Salaam – Selous/Nyerere National Park
After early breakfast your driver will pick you up at your hotel and drive, 3-4 hours to Nyerere/Selous national park to do your first game drive in the park. Dinner and Overnight at your booked accommodation property. Full board.
Nyerere national park is one of the largest national park in the world with a large number of wildlife such as Antelope, Greater Kudu, Eland, Bush Back, Plain Zebra, Wildebeest, Masai Giraffe, Black Rhino, Cape Buffalo, Hippopotamus, African Bush Elephant, Leopard, Lion, Wild Dogs and Nile Crocodile
Nyerere national park is quieter than in the other parks, so you can enjoy a unique and undisturbed safari experience. The Rufiji river that ends in the Indian Ocean, crosses the entire reserve. The Stiegler Gorge of 100 metres deep and 100 metres wide is a special attraction here. Nyerere national park is also one of the few national parks where you can go on walking safari with an armed range.
Nyerere National Park Boat Safari
After breakfast you will start your boat safari to explore a lot of Rufiji river and its lakes, Dinner and overnight at your booked reservation property. – full board.
From the boat you will spot a lot of animals that come to the water to drink or coo down. The boat riding in Rufiji river where is abundant with crocodiles, hippos and many birds in their nestlings hanged in the bank bushes, will also enable you to explore a number of elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, and many more posing or feeding along the river. The view and nature is absolutely amazing and you can enjoy the sounds of the many habitant birds. After boat safari you can have a sun set game drive in the park.
Nyerere National Park Walking Safari – Dar es Salaam
Today you will start with a morning walking safari, afterward game drive enroute back to Dar es Salaam to extend your safari to other destinations or beach holiday, in Zanzibar, Mafia or Pemba islands.
The game walks under Rangers’ security will really enable you to spot closely the games those might not during game driving. On the other side the rangers who professionally also are wildlife guides will explain to you on wildlife and vegetation natures and history when taking security of your walk.
