Through this private luxurious safari package you will have chance to explore major two southern Tanzania circuit national parks, of Nyerere/Selous and Ruaha national parks.
Nyerere national park, previously Selous game reserve is Tanzania’s largest national park. With its wildlife diversity and undisturbed nature, Nyerere national park is a UNESCO’s World Heritage Site. On the other side, Ruaha national park, the second largest park in the country is an expected home to more elephants than any other national park in East Africa.
This is a private safari package with flight transfers within the parks, offering the flexibility to travel at your own pace in exactly the way you like it. The hotels we suggested for you during this safari are premium luxury lodges/camps can be customized due to clients’ preferences.
Safari Itinerary
Arrival in Dar es Salaam
Your driver will be on time to meet and greet you at the airport and transfers to you booked hotel in Dar es Salaam.
On your arrival to the hotel the rest of the day is at leisure, you can relax and enjoy the African atmosphere. Your expert and experienced guide will tell you about the beautiful national parks, Tanzania people and their cultures; so feel free to ask your guide many questions as possible and will be happy to answer them all.
As this is a private safari your personal safari guide will advise you when to leave in the morning and when to return in the evening, time to observe specific animal or herd during safari so that your trip will be an unforgettable experience.
Dar es Salaam – Nyerere National Park Game Drive:
After breakfast your driver will pick you up at the hotel and transfers you to the airport to connect the scheduled flight to Nyerere/Selous national park, to do your first game drive in the park.
Today you will be picked up at the airport to check in the hotel and have early hot lunch, followed with Boat Safari and then sunset game drive. Dinner and Overnight in your reserved accommodation property.
The boat riding in Rufiji river where is abundant with crocodiles, hippos and many birds in their nestlings hanged in the bank bushes, will also enable you to explore a number of elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, etc posing or feeding along the river.
However, Nyerere national park is one of the largest national park in the world with a large number of wildlife such as Antelope, Greater Kudu, Eland, Bush Back, Plain Zebra, Wildebeest, Masai Giraffe, Black Rhino, Cape Buffalo, Hippopotamus, African Bush Elephant, Leopard, Lion, Wild Dogs and Nile Crocodile
The Park is quieter than in the other parks, so you can enjoy a unique and undisturbed safari experience. The Rufiji river that ends in the Indian Ocean, crosses the entire reserve. The Stiegler Gorge of 100 metres deep and 100 metres wide is a special attraction here. Nyerere national park is also one of the few national parks where you can go on walking safari with an armed range.
Nyerere National Park (Walking Safari and Game Driving)
After breakfast you will start with Walking Safari afterward game drive in Nyerere national park. Dinner and Overnight in your reserved accommodation property.
The game walks under Rangers’ security will really enable you to spot closely the games those might not during game driving. On the other side the rangers who professionally also are wildlife guides will explain to you on wildlife and vegetation natures and history when taking security of your walk.
Nyerere National Park – Ruaha National Park (Night Game Drive)
On time you will board your scheduled aircraft in Selous/Nyerere national park to Ruaha national park, and have afternoon game drive afterward Night Game Drive to explore Tanzania’s second largest park! Dinner and Overnight in your reserved accommodation property.
The Great Ruaha River flows through Ruaha national park and is the most important river in the park. Since it has a huge population of African elephants, chances are very good to spot large groups of them roaming around. It is probably home to more elephants than any other parks in East Africa and it has nearly 10% of Africa’s lion population! Have your camera ready for some good pictures…
Tanzania Night Game Drive is an adventurous activity that carried out at night in open safari vehicle with a canvas canopy, with spotlight torches for clear viewing, driven by professional guide and an armed ranger help to protect you from any danger. Spotting animals in the bushes during night is a real other different world of adventures.
Ruaha National Park – Dar es Salaam
Today your driver will transfer you to the airport for your departure flight from Ruaha national park back to Dar es Salaam to connect an international airline back home, or extend your safari to visit more national parks or with beach holiday?
